Farm Fun
To promote the connection of families to their food and their local farmer

Bring the Whole Family
Unlike anywhere else we invite you and your family to visit with us, meet all the animals and see what is growing. During our farm hours, your family can walk out to pet our milking goats, and visit our chickens and bunnies that are right behind our retail store, all while being kept company by our two friendly farm dogs!
Birthday Parties, Field trips and Playgroups
We charge $85 for birthday parties, field trips or playgroups. Your group of 15 children or less, can explore our farm, visit and pet our working farm animals, and take a farm tour/hay ride (hay rides depend on weather and ground conditions). We have some picnic tables behind our store that make a great area for cake, presents, picnic or snack. The farm activities usually take about 45 minutes, and you can have the space for up to an hour and half.
Milking Demonstrations
If your group is interested in viewing our goat milking process there is a $15 charge in addition to your group fee. Your group will spend about 15 minutes watching and participating in the milking process, get your questions answered, and maybe even get a goat milk sample. Due to our milking schedule, your group must come out on a weekday evening between 4pm-6pm.
Please e-mail Sarah at sfarris@homestead-farms.net to schedule a time for your group or if you have any questions.
Farm Day Camp
Come be a farmer for the day! Kids can join in on our daily chores, watch a milking demonstration, bottle feed the baby goats, gather chicken eggs and more! Each set of camps is a little different as the seasons change, but our main goal is to expose kids to the everyday life of a farmer in an age appropriate manner. Bring a sack lunch and finish the camp off with a picnic lunch on the farm.

All natural Farm Fun
If there is bad weather, we unfortunately don’t have enough room to house events, so we either have to cancel or reschedule events. Please call Sarah (817)966-0482 to see if the clubs or events are still in session or to reschedule times.
Please keep in mind when planning your trip to the farm that we are a real working farm. This means we are often working on building projects to make our farm better; and sometimes there are flies, mud, and farm smells. Closed toe shoes and older clothes are recommended!
